Two cars crashed into a boom lift as it was being unloaded in a busy street in Delray Beach, Florida yesterday morning.

The large telescopic boom lift was being unloaded in the dark at around 5:30 in the morning and was reportedly crossing the highway when the cars crashed into the lift.

Amazingly those involved only suffered minor injuries.

Vertikal Comment

Loading or unloading equipment on a busy highway, particularly in the dark is highly dangerous and should only be attempted after cordoning off the area behind the truck with well lights as well as cones or barriers.

There have been a number of fatalities in recent years while unloading aerial lifts, cranes and telehandlers.
