Fork and pallet at the concert

Spotted by a reader in the UK prior to a concert the old fork and pallet access method.

This example has the pallet on the forks of a telehandler lifting the man to a platform height of around three metres so that he can fit and adjust the lighting.

Fact is that with no proper or stable attachment to the forks, no guard rails and no control by the ban on top there is a great deal that can and often does go wrong with this form of powered access.

Even if this was not a risky method of working at height it is far from efficient using a telehandler and a second person to do a job that could be carried out with a push around scissor lift or mobile scaffold tower not to mention a decent set of platform steps. Definitely a Death Wish.

And definitely not an official or approved Manitou attachment.
